Why use WordPress for apps?
WordPress runs almost everywhere, and it already brings what apps need: users, permissions, media, data storage, hosting, and APIs, shared by every app on the site.
The apps are private by default: WordPress can do more than power public websites. Running them in this open source environment puts you in control. Your data does not have to be scattered across unrelated services that each have their own agenda.

Ready for AI, but only if you want it
You can add the AI Assistant app that builds, modifies and interacts with your apps and your data. WordPress plugins are a structure every coding agent knows, and since all apps share one WordPress, it can work across them.
And when an AI builds an app for you, you already have the place to run it. No new server, no new service, just your WordPress.
None of this is required. The apps are capable on their own and work just as well without AI.
